Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Miss., (www.tbclife.net) is searching for an experienced creative web designer capable of doing basic coding and excellent web design to join our creative staff to present the Gospel of Christ in a meaningful and simple way as we move forward in a video-driven web space. Most work will include editing for web content, designing and maintaining web pages. Secondary work will include minor IT on PC and Macs, i.e. setting up new stations, troubleshooting programs, printers, minor networking issues, etc. HTML & CSS a must with Dreamweaver site maintenance experience. Prefer person with Java, Flash and Action Script knowledge. Web 2.0 programming a huge bonus, with working knowledge of programming for blogging and social networking tools. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: being a productive member of the creative staff, keeping all Temple Baptist Church and related sites error and typo free and up-to-date, working with other members of the staff to keep the podcast feeds updated weekly, assist all computer users that work for Temple Baptist Church in networking and computer problems (through the direction of the business manager), maintaining the budget provided for web support and services. Applicant must uphold and communicate the vision for the church through all “clicking” aspects of communication. This is a fulltime position, with salary dependant upon experience.
