The Marketing Intern has the following job responsibilities: assists in development and implementation of marketing plans; and conducts market research; creates various collateral pieces, including brochures, flyers and postcards; assists with writing Web and ad copy; writes stories, takes photos and designs layouts of newsletters; Join and participate in social media-oriented religious blogs and online communities, as well as major sites like Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare assists with various internal and external communications as needed. We'll happily fill out any paperwork necessary for the internship to count toward college credits * Fantastic work experience that you'll actually learn from -- you'll leave this internship with more than just a few new bullet points on your resume * Flexible hours. Much of the work can be done from home (or a coffee shop), but you'll still need to come into the office a couple hours a week Qualifications desired: Completed units towards a degree in Public Relations/Marketing/Business/Communications or similar field; strong writing skills; eye for design; computer savvy, especially with Microsoft Word and Publisher; strong initiative/outgoing. * Self-motivation -- if you need somebody breathing down your neck at all times in order to be successful, this isn't the gig for you * A laptop (sorry, at this time we are not supplying interns with computers) * Intelligence and creativity * Social networking experience, beyond the standard "I have a Facebook page" * Past blogging experience (bonus points awarded to those who currently maintain a blog) * Solid organization and prioritization skills * Enthusiasm for learning new things
