Our goal in the Creative Communications department of HPUMC is to communicate the message of Jesus Christ in a way that is easy, helpful and engaging. The Web Admin is integral to this process, being responsible for the installation, configuration and administration of website applications. This position works collaboratively with our communications director, programmer and members of the communications team and greater staff to assess and address needs related to the websites and content management system.
We Require:
- A committed Christian who is comfortable working in a United Methodist church,
- Knowledge of web design and development,
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team,
- Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills,
- Good interpersonal skills,
- Great customer service skills;
- positive and proactive with a high degree of initiative
- Good organization skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors in computer science, electrical engineering or related field preferred, or commensurate experience,
- At least 3 years' experience with HTML, CSS, Java Script, PHP, JSON, and Ajax technologies
- Experience with Windows and Unix based servers and shell services.
- Proven design and development experience with web technology
- Experience with ASP.NET, C#, and SQL development a plus
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Excel/Pages, RDC, and common development tools
- Strong understanding and ability to function in both Mac OS and Windows. We Offer:
