Summarized Graphic Designer Job Description
General Description of Duties
This position will assist the Communications department with all church-wide publications, marketing, desktop publishing and promotional materials. This involves a variety of tasks from design and layout to working with print vendors and prepping files for print. Designed materials include, but are not limited to, the weekly bulletin, promotional pieces for upcoming message series (including mailings, web advertisements, posters, banners), and any ministry-specific materials. This position will also provide creative support to the Communications Department and work closely with the Communications Director to see all these projects completed from start to finish.
Training and Qualifications
Candidate should possess a proficiency in various design/layout programs, including Adobe CS3 Creative Suite; a bachelor�s degree in graphic design or related discipline. Substantial professional graphic design experience may be used in lieu of a graphic design degree. Candidate must be detail oriented, excellent at graphic design, and is a strong self-manager
