Abingdon Press, a leader in religious publishing for Christian congregations, is seeking an acquisitions editor to develop resources by high-profile and innovative church leaders that will help pastors better understand and perform their ministry. The ideal candidate will focus on congregational leadership, innovations in church growth and practice, and resources developed at growing congregations and teaching churches. The candidate will maintain key relationships, identify new congregations and resources for the professional ministry resource line, and perform substantive development editing. The position requires traveling to recruit new authors, negotiating publishing contracts, and meeting annual commissioning and revenue targets.
